SINGAPORE (30 April 2025) – Eastspring Investments (“Eastspring”), the USD258 billion1  asset management business of Prudential plc (“Prudential”), today announced the appointment of Salman Haider as Head of ASEAN and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eastspring Singapore (subject to regulatory approval), in addition to his current role as Chief Distribution Officer. Salman will continue to report to Bill Maldonado, Chief Executive Officer, Eastspring Investments Group.

Based in Singapore, Salman joined Eastspring in March 2024 as Chief Distribution Officer. He oversees the firm’s global distribution business and the management of its Prudential Life relationships, along with responsibilities for its Japan and Americas markets. In his expanded role covering Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, Salman will spearhead Eastspring’s growth strategy in ASEAN, with a focus on client-centric solutions and delivering exceptional service for clients and stakeholders.

With over 25 years of experience across Asian and EMEA, Salman’s career spans Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, and Global Markets. Prior to joining Eastspring, he spent 12 years at Citi and also held senior management positions at J.P. Morgan, Barclays Private Bank, and Habib Bank AG.

Salman holds an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School in London and a BA in Economics & Political Science from the University of Punjab in Pakistan.
